Language and culture clubs

How do we support learning Estonian?

In language and culture clubs, it is possible to develop Estonian communication skills in a free and friendly atmosphere – to chat with native Estonian speakers and to learn and practice new expressions. At club meetings, you can, for example, go on field trips, participate in more informal events, and meet many guests. The club’s activities total 120 academic hours, including 6 field trips.

Who can participate?

All adult Estonian language learners, i.e. long-term residents, returnees, and newly arrived immigrants who have completed an Estonian language course or successfully passed a language exam at level B1, B2, or C1.

How to participate?

We open the clubs a few times a year across Estonia, for example in Tallinn, Tartu, and Narva. Language learners can choose a club that suits them in terms of time and location. One club welcomes 16–20 language learners.

After registering with the club, you must attend its regular on-site meetings and field trips over a period of six months. To successfully complete the club, you must participate in the planned activities. Participation in the club can be cancelled in the self-service environment no later than one working day before the first club meeting.

How is it organised?

We organise the club’s activities in cooperation with partners, whom we involve through public procurement.

The cooperation partners are guided by the handbook intended for organisers of Estonian language and culture clubs.

Where can I find more information?

We publish detailed information about the club meetings in the calendar.

How to register?

You can choose a suitable club and register for it in the self-service environment.
